Today we talk about the new phrase that’s dropped “A(I)nxiety” and how our thoughts and beliefs can become self-fulfilling prophecies.
The signal at hand looks at an article from the Gaurdian in which young people were interviewed about their futures - and I found it deeply depressing how many of them were giving up on their dreams and settling for mor dull careers because they believe AI will take the jobs they actually want.
Spoiler - if you give up on your goals before even beginning, guess what? - the machines have already won…
How can we shift the conversation on the future of work from “jobs” to value exchanges?
How can we break out of negative self-fulfilling loops?
How can you fail to lose if you don’t even try?
More on the future of work and workers coming at you from Flux Trends soon (if you want to join our Cape Town salon later this month - drop me a DM and I’ll get you all the details).
