Boys, boys, boys!
Todays signal looks at the cyclical link between fatherlessness and inequality and how one creates the other and so on and so on…
In South Africa - where only ~4 in 10 children live with their fathers, the “2 parent privilege” demands closer inspection (thanks to Johan Fourie who’s recent article caught my attention, even though the statistics sited are a few years old).
Having to parents to take care of you fiscally and physically is a major life long advantage - surely we want more of the good stuff? So why are we so “positive” about the lonely single parent existence - by accident or design - in pop media?
I do wonder…
How about you?
Should keeping families together be a policy issue?
Or are there other factors at play?
Let me know.
