Liberland gets real

#DailySignals - Your 2 minute preview of the future

The once fantasy libertarian micro nation, Liberland, now has a real border with Croatia.

This signal is just one of many, that for many with means the dream of escaping a failing / stifling social contract just won't die. The ideas exposed by Ayn Rand (Galt's Glutch), The Sovereign Individual, and, more recently, the Network State, that the rich can, and should run away from societies problems and start their own micro-nations or sea-steading communities away from the state (and it's citizens) they despise are not dead, they are just getting started.

What are your thoughts on private cities and anti-state states?

Does a micro-nation actually offer sovereignty or are you still, practically, at the mercy of the nearest biggest state anyway?

Can our social contacts be saved - with force or values, or are they (us) beyond saving?

If the social contract is failing can you justify preventing visionaries, vagabonds and the merry very, very wealthy from running of on into they sunset of their own "utopias"?

And what about the business opportunities of trading or taking advantage of the (largely hypothetical) digital identities and domiciles of start-up nation projects like Liberland? (There must be some ideas!)

Tell me your thoughts regarding the romance and wisdom and practicalities of to exit rather than voice or loyalty to solve our social problems.
