Trends run in tandem - and in counterpoint. 

Today’s look at the growing backlash against pet ownership - for ethical and environmental reasons - which mirrors the anti-family trend pushed by antinatalists and environmentalists (more lives mean more suffering - and more resource consumption- the logic goes); and also runs counter to the excessive pet-parenting trend driven by lonley, unloved millennials… 

What are your thoughts? 

Are (pet) parents or antinatslsts on the “right” side of history? 

And what are the economic and environmental outcomes of each of these extreme positions? 

Is life a luxury? And can we afford it?
