Lhasa de Sela wrote "la Route Chante" and she is my model of a good psychiatrist. as such, I admire her own gestallt to provide truth via her impressions when engaged in an interview. in la Route, she explained that she does believe in the examination of the pattern of the leaves in her teacup, the dice rolls of her 3 coin yi king, etc cetera. the placement of client and therapist has been relegated to how the slot machines operate, and Chance is unfortunately AS Important as what happens once one enters the session. I think you're entitled to your skepticism but you should consider that an individual who has not become fully sovereign (self-directed) has a personality willing to do "whatever it takes" not to be normal but to fulfill her wish. the expectation that pseudoscience is too improbable to provide that is a paper wall, it is not real. the foreplay of the randomizer is necessary to stimulate participation in therapy for the next generation, it helps to suspend the disbelief and push the psychological "static coefficient of friction" that clinical psychotherapy just can't. if you relegate the whole shebang to "it's all just a game" but then we are hostages who need to play such a game in order to realize our individual wishes
