OK. But doesn't this assume that the primary reason for migratory work is for remittances as opposed to seeking new opportunities in general? I know the paradigm is probably different in the US than for most African countries, but while remittances here are also extremely common, when I talk to people about why they come, "sending money home" is usually not the first answer, but rather more about seeking new opportunities, seeking freedom, education, fleeing instability, etc.
