What's even the point? On recipe blogs and robo-priests

#DailySignals your 2 minute preview of the future

Today's #dailysignal looks at the parallels of "new religion" and the future of work.

Specifically how some Hindu worshipers are outsourcing their rituals to robots, and other congregants in Japan are being preached to by robo-pastors. And, just how similar that all is to what's happening with the world of work (and recipe blogging) where HR departments use algorithms to screen CV's written by Chat GPT (and home bakers write SEO-optimised nonsensical ten thousand word pre-amble essays to impress Google crawler bots, actual human readers be dammed) - and what the point of all this is, if it's just bots writing for bots and robots preaching to robots...

Why are we even bothering at all, once we've cut the human out the loop altogether?

What does a robot care about its immortal soul?

How can you hope to weed out the lemons and find the peaches if everyone is using the same signalling software to write and screen "perfect" CVs?

I have questions. I bet you do to. Share your thoughts with me below:
