As if digital dating could get any worse - now with added credit checks

#DailySignals - Your 2 minute preview of the future

Dating apps that have a minimum (credit) credit score requirement?

Today’s signal reminds us of shifting social norms around what personal information is taboo, what is private and what is public consumption - and who is entitled to know what about whom.

Take incomes for example - in some parts of the world it’s required to share you tax return with whoever in your country wants to see it. In other places, personal finances are, well, just that.

And take credit scores as a means to gain access to goods, services and opportunities- what information should be used to limit such?

How in control are you of your credit score(s) literal and figurative?

And is a credit (score) based social and goods economy more or less fair than a judgement and trust based one?

Or is all information destined to be free (or at least accessible for a price)?
