A physical book is overall better because it makes it a complete activity instead of more scrolling. However, digital is the best for reading quickly + copious annotating as well. And yes added bonus of physical book is the social impressions
I prefer physical books if they contain a lot of photos but for just text a digital copy on my phone is more convenient; I can read a few pages whenever I have a spare moment. I suppose if I was a woman I'd have a handbag for the physical book 😊
