On why people in urban Hong Kong believe in and are more afraid of ghosts than their countrymen who live in, well the country.
Being surrounded by strangers begets strangeness, it seems.
And it points to my theory, you may have noticed, that our connected-yet-lonely, watched-but-not-loved, crowded yet isolated moser digital urban existence is bending us towards a metaphysical turn - the disconnected seek meaning and sense in the paranormal, the mystical and the unexplained.
