Where have all the taboos gone? 😭
We’re at the late stage of late stage liberalism that is using “logic” to justify cannibalism (and some other things too).
Your thoughts on the “end of taboo”? And is it not inevitable, once we have killed our gods in the secular world that everything, as Crawley said, then follows to be permissible?
What purposes do taboos hold in society?
And do they chain or liberate us?
And what is next? What is left to, ahem, chew on?
Or do we, as I suspect, watch the pendulum now swing in the opposite direction, as we already see in teenage political polls, towards a new generation of “been there see that done them all and found no salvation” jaded conservatives?
