The tautology of community as a service

#DailySignals - Your 4 minute preview of the future

on the reoccurring rise of “co-living spaces” and (commercial) “communes” or the bastardisation of the idea of community as something that can be bought and sold…

As bad as demanding mothers get paid for being mothers.

And as strange as the idea that buying sex equates to purchasing love.

Or as oxy-moronic as the sharing “economy” - it you are paying they aren’t sharing - they’re *selling* and you’re renting.

If it can be bought - it ain’t it.

Adam Smith understood this - so why don’t we?

If friends could be traded, why are we all so lonely?

Aaargh.

Anyway. Let me know your thoughts while I, little old lady me, screams at the sky.
